New homeowner advocacy organization forms to promote fairness, transparency, and collaboration for 5,000 Amberly homeowners
RALEIGH, Nc. October 14 2024 (FREE PRESS) — A new organization has formed to protect the rights of more than 5,000 homeowners in a Raleigh suburb. Homeowners previously siloed into seven distinct neighborhoods in the Amberly subdivision are now collaborating across their respective borders to advocate for their shared values and priorities for their homes, neighborhoods, and related initiatives.
The formation of this homeowner-focused organization follows the recent announcement of significantly increased homeowner fees imposed on approximately 5,000 residents and homeowners. Residents from all seven neighborhoods have raised objections about the origin, basis, and lack of explanation for the increase in quarterly cost to homeowners. These same fees were raised less than 2 years ago with similarly minimal explanation and homeowner input.
Homeowners are currently awaiting an explanation for the most recent fee increase, which is currently undergoing a legal review, potentially resulting in additional delays and legal costs to homeowners.
Community managers as well as the manager of the homeowner’s association governing all seven subdivisions could not be reached for comment, but homeowners from all seven neighborhoods have joined the Amberly Alliance at amberlyalliance.com.
